Here at St. James Music Press, it's Christmas year round! (Just ask our eggnog supplier...) We always top off our projects with great Christmas offerings and many of you have taken advantage of the collections. The Corelli Christmas Cantata
Corelli's most famous opus is the Christmas Concerto composed in 1712. If you have been looking for something new for the Christmas season, this may be it! The Corelli Christmas Cantata is scored for SATB, Soloists, Two Violins, Cello and Organ and uses all the music from the Christmas Concerto, Opus 6, No. 8.

The Shepherd's Play by Richard Shephard
(included in the SCP, Vol. 8)
For four male soloists (TTBB), piano or string quartet, flute and offstage SATB chorus, this little gem is comparable to Vaughan Williams at his best. A gentle pastorale that can be staged simply and effectively, combining comedy and a heartfelt message as the four shepherds decide what gifts each will take to the manger.
Only eight minutes long, this can work beautifully as a part of any number of Christmas services. $25

CHRISTMAS SERVICES

For the past several years, composer Richard Shephard has been writing a Christmas Eve Mass for the St. William's Singers — a choir consisting of ex-choristers from Yorkminster home for the holidays. These are liturgical choral masses based on traditional carols.
Mass of the Nativity (in Latin)
(included in the SCP Vol. X)
This is a liturgical choral mass based on traditional carols (Bohemian, French, Basque, Spanish, German, English and Italian) for SATB Choir, Soloists, Organ, Oboe and Violin – perfect for any Advent or Christmas Service.

The Mass includes a Kyrie, Gloria, Sanctus and Benedictus, and Agnus Dei.
