Yes, we're in a recession and budgets are tight. But let's face it. You need some good music to give to your choir and $79 will just about get you two new anthems. Choose wisely ... will it be something for Advent? Christmas? How about that Groundelmas Evensong you've been promising the worship committee?
Well, you could sit around scratching your head and trying to decide which version of Eagle's Wings to buy for $1.95 per copy, or you could go ahead and order VOL. 16 of The Sewanee Composer's Project.
Not convinced? How about this.
- You won't find a better collection of anthems for this price (unless, of course, you buy one of our other projects.)
- Price isn't the only reason. This music is good! Very good! These anthems, cantatas and services have been sung by choirs across the country. They're not some editor's idea of what "might" work. In fact, many of these recordings are from live church services and concerts.
- We GUARANTEE you'll like it. If you don't, send it back. It's that easy.
(Hint: If you do send it back, please don't include a note saying that you only found sixteen anthems that you liked and you didn't want to keep it because you couldn't use the other twenty-three, Mrs. Gladys Polete of Fonda, Iowa. Sheesh! Sixteen new anthems for 79 bucks! Oooo...don't get me started...)
Yes, this volume comes on a CD-ROM because it was the only way we could include everything! We still have our "one-click" printing available, but have divided the volume into two separate files - choral and instrumental - to make it easier. So you can choose to print the whole volume, or print and listen to one anthem at a time.
- 39 Anthems for the church year
- 2 Larger Works including the first printing of Robin Milford's Evening Cantata in 75 years
- A set of accompanied Preces and Responses by Richard Shephard
- A lovely three-movement cantata - The Gift of Music - by Alfred Fedak that can be performed as a single work, or as separate anthems
- 2 new Mag and Nunc settings
- A NEW choral Christmas Mass based on carols
- Instrumental and organ pieces including two GREAT brass and organ hymn settings
- All the texts in a Word file
- All the recordings in mp3 format
- Contemporary composer's biographies
432 pages on CD-ROM - Still $79
