Description: Bread of Love, Cup of Grace is based on a simple, folk-like melody with lyrical accompaniment. The refrain, which opens the anthem, is memorable enough to be immediately singable by the entire congregation, should you want them to join in singing the final refrain.
Teaching Guide
- Teach the choristers to sing a D Mixolydian “scale”.
- Teach the choristers to chant the words in rhythm.
- Teach the choristers to sing the melody on the syllable “loo” (without piano).
- Teach each phrase with text and melody together, emphasizing breath support.
