Description
A Franco-Flemish composer of the early Renaissance, Isaac was esteemed in his day as second only to Josquin des Prez in compositional prowess. His career was a cosmopolitan one, working in Flanders, Pisa, Vienna, Innsbruck, Florence, and Augsburg. He was to have an enormous influence on the development of German music in particular.
