Jack Warren Burnam
Jack Warren Burnam has pursued an active career as a choral conductor, organist, teacher, accompanist, and composer for over fifty years. He recently retired as Choirmaster and Organist of Immanuel Church on the Green in New Castle, Delaware. Previous positions in which he has served, all in the Wilmington, Delaware area, include Immanuel Church, Highlands; Congregation Beth Emeth; Director of Choral Activities at Tower Hill School; and Artistic Director and Conductor of the chamber chorus CoroAllegro.
A number of Jack’s compositions and arrangements appear in the Hymnal 1982, the supplemental hymnal "Wonder, Love and Praise," and several other hymnals and supplements. He earned degrees in sacred music from Houghton College (NY) and Catholic University of America, and holds the Associate and Choirmaster certificates of the American Guild of Organists.
