Description
Johann Gottfried Walther was a German composer, organist, music theorist, and lexicographer of the high Baroque. He was also the first cousin of Johann Sebastian Bach, his nearly exact contemporary. He composed a large number of works for the organ, including a series of transcriptions of concerti by Italian composers, inspiring his cousin Bach to do the same.
