Joseph Lowe
Joseph Lowe, Jr. was born and raised in Key West, Florida, and has been a life-long resident of that city. He received his musical education at the University of Miami. Joseph was accompanist for the Navy’s Fleet Sonar School Choir in the early 1970s. He served as Organist & Choirmaster for St Paul’s Episcopal Church in Key West from 1970 to 2013, and concurrently Organist & Choir Director of Peace Covenant Presbyterian Church from 1975 to 2000. Joseph has written an estimated 500+ choral works and arrangements, as well as a similar number of four-hand piano arrangements of orchestral works. A number of his choral works are adaptations of English organ voluntaries by Stanley, Bennet, and others. Several of his sacred choral works are dedicated to the Choir of Westminster Abbey in London.
