Description
English composer. From a musical family, he was a chorister at Peterborough Cathedral (1619) and organist there (1631-2) and at Lincoln (1662) and Exeter (1664) cathedrals. He briefly worked at York Minster (1666). Services and anthems in manuscripts ascribed to ‘Mudd’ may be by him or members of his family.
