Valerie Oyen

A versatile musician, Ms. Oyen was an accomplished singer, pianist, organist, harpsichordist and arranger/composer. She directed numerous semi-professional, university, youth and church vocal ensembles, and was the founding conductor of the Clarksville Community Chorus. Throughout her life, Ms. Oyen was active in many kinds of vocal and instrumental music, including church music, and was an avid supporter of the arts and arts education. She participated regularly in our recordings and performances and was a great friend to SJMP. We will miss her.
