Description
For SATB Choir (unaccompanied if possible). One of the great motets of the early 1700s, the Miserere is a four-voice setting of the first verse of Psalm 51. Though its origins link it to Holy Thursday, it is also suitable for use throughout Lent and other times when Psalm 51 is read. Short and stunningly beautiful!

Lyrics
Miserere mei Deus, secundum magnam misericordiam tuam,
et secundum multitudinem miserationum tuarum dele iniquitatem meam.
Have mercy upon me, O God, after Thy great goodness
According to the multitude of Thy mercies do away mine offences.
